Bruman Construction Inc.

Bruman from the Beginning

Bruman began business in 1984, with just two tractors and one lumber trailer. Over the next three years Bruman added three dump trucks to their fleet of equipment. With a growing fleet, Bruman needed an area to store and maintain their equipment. With an acquisition of a piece of property on the outskirts of the city, Bruman was able to build it’s first maintenance shop on Highway 17E.

Bruman began work in the water and wastewater industry in 1990, completing its first contract with the City of North Bay. Throughout the 90’s, Bruman continued to expand with the addition of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers and backhoes. With the additional equipment, Bruman was able to complete a wide array of projects in North Bay and surrounding area including water and sewer work, blasting, and roadbuilding.

In the early 90’s Bruman started acquiring acreage on Carmichael Drive which allowed Bruman to commence selling and hauling sandfill and Granular B material to contractors and general public. Continuing to add to the acreage throughout the 90’s, in 2000, Bruman was able to set off the first blast in their newly opened quarry. The quarry has enabled Bruman Construction to position itself as a leading source of aggregate in the North Bay area supplying many MTO road contracts, contractors, landscape companies and general public with aggregate that meets and exceeds all expectations.
